    Booking.com, on behalf of BHFS (Booking Hospitality Financial Services) , has announced an update to the terms and conditions for its payment processing service. The company's stated goal is to improve the transparency of its service descriptions and clarify certain operational aspects.

    Changes to the BHFS Payments Agreement: What's Changing from November 10, 2026

    Below we analyze in detail the 6 main changes made to the contractual text.

    1. Virtual Credit Cards (VCCs)

    It is officially confirmed that Virtual Credit Cards (VCCs) are issued and disbursed exclusively to the main owner of the property and not to associated Partners.

    2. Mutual confidentiality obligation

    A bilateral clause comes into force that obliges both Booking.com/BHFS and the partner/host to protect and not disclose the other party's non-public confidential information.

    3. Sharing of personal data and group companies

    Please note that personal data and confidential information may be shared with other companies belonging to the Booking.com group for purposes related to:

    • Risk management ;

    • Fraud Prevention;

    • Regulatory compliance and legal compliance.

    4. New definition of “Associated Partner”

    The concept of Associated Partner has been redefined: it specifically refers to a person or entity authorized to receive payments , superseding the previous definition linked to the management or reception of guest reservations.

    5. Payment terms and obligations

    The contract clarifies that the obligation to pay the sums to the facility or its associated Partners arises only and exclusively after BHFS has collected the amount from the relevant third party (broadening the concept beyond just the intermediaries of the payment method).

    6. Broadening the definition of “payments”

    The definition of “payments” is expanded to include any amount that Booking.com has agreed or agreed to pay to the property, regardless of the specific reason.
