The Italian business landscape is constantly evolving and, to remain competitive, it is essential to seize every opportunity for growth and development. The Varese Chamber of Commerce has launched a highly significant initiative that aims to promote and support the creation and strengthening of new business realities led by young and aspiring entrepreneurs.

This Start Up Call for the launch of new businesses in Varese represents an unmissable opportunity for those who wish to innovate or undertake work in the hotel and tourism sector in the Varese area, an area rich in potential but in need of new ideas and lifeblood.

The goal is clear: to stimulate local economic growth, while supporting the talent and vision of young entrepreneurs through targeted training courses and concrete financial support.

Who can access the Start Up Call for the launch of new businesses in Varese?

This call is aimed at two main categories. First, young start-ups registered in the Varese Business Register starting from January 1, 2024 can access it.

A “youth enterprise” is defined as a business whose owner or at least one of the partners is up to 40 years of age. Secondly, the call is open to aspiring young entrepreneurs who, despite not yet having a business, commit to starting one in the province of Varese by the date of sending the final report (set for April 30, 2026).

Again, aspiring entrepreneurs must be in the Under 40 age group. This is a great opportunity for those with a bright idea and the desire to make it a reality in the hospitality industry, perhaps with an innovative offering that can attract new customer segments or improve the overall tourism experience.

Mandatory training path: an added value for your business

Before applying for a grant, both new youth businesses (through the young owner or partner) and aspiring entrepreneurs must follow a preparatory training course.

This course was designed to strengthen management skills and better prepare future entrepreneurs for the challenges of the market. It is divided into two fundamental modules: participation in an in-person meeting organized by the Punto Nuova Impresa of Varese, which can be an initial orientation meeting or an in-depth focus, to be attended between January 1, 2024 and the date of submission of the application.

Furthermore, participation in online training activities for at least 10 hours is required, available on platforms promoted by the chamber of commerce system such as PID Academy (for innovation and digital skills), SNI – Servizio Nuove Imprese (for self-entrepreneurship and business management) and Innexta Skill UP (for corporate finance).

These training modules offer practical tools and in-depth knowledge, essential for the effective management of a hospitality facility.

    Contribution details and deadlines

The call offers a non-repayable grant equal to 50% of eligible expenses, with a maximum ceiling of 8.000,00 euros. To access this incentive, the overall company investment must be at least 5.000,00 euros.

It is important to note that expenses must be incurred and receipted between January 1, 2024 and April 30, 2026, with the invoice date as a reference. Grant requests can only be submitted electronically on the ReStart platform, accessible via SPID, CNS or CIE.

Applications are open from 11:00 on May 29th until 12:00 on October 31st 2025, but be careful: the online counter could close early if the available resources run out. Each company or aspiring entrepreneur can submit only one application.

    Reporting and next steps

Once the grant has been approved, the final reporting must also be submitted exclusively electronically on the ReStart platform , between September 15, 2025 and April 30, 2026.

It is essential to keep track of all expenses incurred and training-related documents to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

This call represents a concrete opportunity for those who work or intend to work in the hotel sector in Varese, offering not only financial support but also a growth and training path for young entrepreneurs.
