Just a few days left to participate in the Cocktail Competition, launched by Cardenal Mendoza Brandy for the Golden Week 2021.

There are only a few more days to enter the Cocktail Competition launched by Cardenal Mendoza as part of its sixth annual Golden Week . To participate, bartenders must create a drink recipe based on a classic mixology recipe and use Cardenal Mendoza Brandy. Then, take a photo or make a reel and post it— by October 31, 2021 —on their Instagram page, ensuring a bottle of Cardenal Mendoza is featured as a key ingredient, using the hashtag #CardenalNewSuit and mentioning @cardenalmendozabrandy. Cocktails will be judged on several criteria, including creativity, presentation, and the ability to recreate a recipe, by three renowned mixologists: Matthias Soberon, founder of the cocktail & drink blog "Served by Soberon," and Andrea Camacho, member of the innovative German cocktail catering team "We love Cocktails," with more than sixteen years of experience in the world of mixology. Finally, bartender Kike Prado, owner of Bar La Higuera in Barcelona. The winner of last year's competition, which was largely held online, was American Jonathan Stanyard, a mixologist from Seattle, renowned for his original and innovative cocktails, with his creation "C MARKSTHE SPOT."

Cardenal Mendoza, the prestigious Solera Gran Reserva sherry brandy from Sánchez Romate winery , has recently updated its iconic brand for the second time since 1957, with a more contemporary look while maintaining the key characteristics that have made it beloved since 1887. This change makes it even more of a perfect ingredient for the annual Cocktail Competition, an event that is part of Cardenal Mendoza Golden Week 2021. Furthermore, Brendy de Jerez , distributed in Italy by Rinaldi 1957, has twice been voted among the five most influential brandies and among the five best-selling in the 2021 Drinks International ranking. A brandy that ages for a minimum of 15 years in a solera-criadera system used to create sherries from Jerez and the surrounding area, Cardenal Mendoza rests in barrels that have previously held Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez Sherry , a characteristic that gives it the right depth, richness, and roundness. This full-bodied, complex flavor makes Cardenal Mendoza a perfect cocktail ingredient, inspiring bartenders to create bold and exciting pairings.
