An interesting call for proposals is almost due this month: it involves non-repayable financing for tourism businesses, making it an opportunity well worth taking advantage of. The call for proposals provides access to financing equal to 100% of the eligible expenses.

This notice was actually closed on September 4, 2020, but the deadline has been reopened. Applications can now be submitted from January 4, 2021, until January 22, 2021, at 12:00 PM.

Unfortunately, the crisis in the tourism sector is still ongoing, so initiatives like this are bringing new life to tourist facilities. Let's see in detail what the tender finances and who can access it.

Non-repayable financing for tourism businesses up to 100% of eligible expenses

Eligible applicants are accommodation facilities registered with the Perugia or Terni Chamber of Commerce , with a local branch in Umbria. Eligible businesses are small or medium-sized.

The notice refers to a wide range of types of tourist facilities, in fact they include:

    1. HOTEL ACCOMMODATION BUSINESSES
    2. NON-HOTEL ACCOMMODATION BUSINESSES
    3. OPEN AIR ACCOMMODATION BUSINESSES
    4. VINTAGE RESIDENCES

Specifically, these categories will be able to access the benefits only if they have experienced a decrease in turnover of at least 30% with reference to the period between 01/03/2020 and 30/06/2020, compared to the same period in 2019, or in the 2018 financial year, only if in 2019 the company suspended operations for renovation work or due to documented objective reasons not dependent on business choices.

The incentive consists of a grant equal to 100% of the eligible expenditure . In any case, the maximum grant amount cannot exceed 25% of the 2019 turnover and, in any case, no more than €30.000.

The eligible expenses are reported in a specific statement of the announcement and are those incurred since 1 February 2020.
