Heart failure, ischemic heart disease, arrhythmological problems: these are some of the focuses on which the 2023 edition of the Hot Topics in Cardiology conference will focus. The conference, dedicated to excellence and in-depth study in the cardiology field, is ready to open its doors in Naples on 13 and 14 November at Villa Doria D'Angri. “In recent decades there has been a notable increase in the incidence of heart failure and the number of hospitalizations related to it – explains Professor Ciro Mauro -. It is estimated that healthcare expenditure for the treatment of heart failure is around 2% of the overall expenditure, aggravated above all by repeated re-hospitalisations. It is clear that this situation is caused by theabsence of a valid and uniform management plan for patients with heart failure. In light of these data, the need for a management model for this chronic pathology is clear."

The event it will also be an opportunity to explore the challenges related to the pandemic and how this has influenced the management of cardiac pathologies.
