"Roberta Metsola has set many records as a woman: she was the first to travel to Kiev as President of the European Parliament; she is the youngest President of the European Parliament ; and the first Maltese woman elected to the European Parliament. For her, glass ceilings are there to be shattered, and she has done so. To her younger self, she would say, 'I am conscious of knowing I have a strong voice and I am using it for all those who cannot use it.'"
