Refrigerated display cases are an indispensable element for capturing the customer's attention and at the same time preserving food in the correct way.
There are various types of refrigerated display cases on the market; knowing the characteristics of each will allow you to choose the right model for your structure, based on your needs and requirements.
THE THREE TYPES OF REFRIGERATED CABINETS FOR HOTEL
Based on the type of products we need to preserve and display, it is best to use certain types of display cases and avoid others.
In fact, there are two types on the market:
- Display cabinets. This type of display case is ideal for storing sweets, fruit and many other packaged and unpackaged products, used especially for breakfast. Small in size, this type of refrigerated display case is made of stainless steel, which is easy to clean and very resistant;
- Beverage display cases. This type of display case has the purpose of keeping water, wine and any other drink at the right temperature. Furthermore, just like display cabinets, beverage cabinets make them desirable in the eyes of our customers. In fact, if we also serve lunch and dinner together with breakfast, to store the wine at the right temperature it is best to use a drinks cabinet set at the right temperature, with the aim of protecting it from excessively high temperatures, humidity and light.
- Display stands. Unlike display cabinets, display counters, also known as "display counters", have the purpose of preserving cheeses and cured meats, ideal for use for savory breakfasts.
HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT TYPE OF SHOWCASE
As we saw in the introductory part of this article, there are various types of display cabinets on the market, to choose according to our needs.
I There are four factors to pay attention to:
- The ability. The first thing you need to ask yourself before purchasing a refrigerated display case is: "how much space do I have available in my structure?" In fact, if your hotel or your breakfast room has a large breakfast room you can opt for a large display cabinet, or alternatively a large display counter, and a large drinks cabinet; however, if your bed and breakfast consists of a small reception and a room, with a breakfast corner, you will have to opt for a small display cabinet and a drinks cabinet, perhaps to be inserted instead of the mini-bar;
- Temperature, since based on the foods it must contain you will have to choose between one type of display case rather than another;
- Its energy efficiency, so as to reduce consumption as much as possible;
- Ease of cleaning, as a clean room will increase customer satisfaction.
