€19,2 million in non-repayable grants for the digital transformation of Piedmontese businesses. Focus on accommodation facilities, fleet management, shuttles, and tourist mobility. How it works and who can apply.

The digitalization of services is no longer the exclusive preserve of large hi-tech companies, but a key strategic lever for Piedmont's entire economic fabric, from the automotive sector to tourism. The Piedmont Region , in collaboration with Unioncamere Piemonte, has confirmed the third edition of the 2026 SME Digitalization Voucher , providing a total of €19,2 million to support technological innovation.

The measure is aimed at all micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). Hotel and non-hotel accommodation facilities are also fully eligible , and will be able to use the resources to modernize services, including those related to guest mobility, company fleet management, and transfers.

What is the 2026 Piedmont Region Digitalization Voucher for SMEs?

The call for proposals is a support measure financed under the 2021-2027 Piedmont Regional Development Fund (PR FESR) (with a contribution of 18 million euros from the Region and 1,2 million euros made available by the Chamber of Commerce System).

The goal is to provide non-repayable grants under the de minimis regime to support projects involving the digitalization of business processes, technological modernization, cybersecurity, and efficiency improvements in mobility and logistics services.

Eligible businesses include both traditional hotel accommodations (hotels, residences) and non-hotel establishments organized as businesses with VAT numbers and registration in the Companies Register.

The following are included in the measure:

    • Bed and Breakfast and Guest House

    • Holiday Homes and Apartments (CAV) under entrepreneurial management

    • Professional Bed & Breakfasts

    • Tourist villages, campsites and farmhouses

Which investments in mobility and digitalization are eligible for funding?

For transport, logistics, and tourism hospitality companies, the voucher can cover both the purchase of hardware/software and the costs of specialized consulting and training (up to 30% of the investment).

    Key interventions permitted include:

    • Fleet Management and Shuttle Service ( Fleet Management ): Software and IoT sensors for geolocation, telemetry, consumption monitoring and predictive maintenance of guest shuttles or company vehicles.

    • Electric Mobility and Smart Ticketing: Digital platforms to offer customers the rental or direct booking of e-bikes, scooters, or electric vehicles, integrated with accommodation management systems.

    • Cybersecurity and Data Protection: Protecting customers' personal data during online booking and payment processes.

    • Management software, Cloud and CRM: Integration of automated check-in/check-out systems (Keyless Entry) and automation of guest relations using Artificial Intelligence.

How much is the non-repayable grant?

The incentive is provided in the form of a non-repayable grant whose percentage coverage varies approximately between 50% and 70% of eligible expenses , with parameters calibrated on the size of the company and the possible involvement of Digital Innovation Hubs or qualified research centres (such as the Fondazione Piemonte Innova ).

    How to apply and requirements

The application deadline is expected to be fall 2026 (fourth quarter). The procedure will be managed online by Unioncamere Piemonte.

The company must be duly incorporated and registered in the Companies Register, have an active operational headquarters in Piedmont, be up to date with contributions (DURC), and not be in liquidation or bankruptcy.

The purchase of monitoring technologies or integrated mobility software can concern both internal logistics management and the shuttles and vehicles made available to customers.

To view all the operational details, the complete list of eligible technologies, and the official documentation, please access the dedicated page on the Piedmont Region's Calls Portal.
